Weekly Wednesday Weigh-In: Starting of Week 13

All of any positivity I've had going with losing weight went out the window this morning when I woke up to AF having arrived and therefore me weighing exactly the same amount as last week.

Can someone remind me that good things come to those who wait, because this waiting to see and RE thing is killing me. I'm up, I'm down, I have hope that I'll get pregnant naturally, then I have a cramp and that goes out the window, now AF is here and it's hard to write a positive post about anything (especially my lack of weightloss).

Isn't 13 an unlucky number, this does not look promising for the next week.

1. Reiterate my goal and where I stand in reference to this goal. (BMI info from this website)

Starting weight: 145
Last Week's Weight: 136
Current Weight: 136 (-9 lbs total, 11 lbs to goal)
Goal Weight : 125

Starting BMI: 26.5
Last Week's BMI: 24.1
Current BMI: 24.1 (In the normal range!!)
Goal BMI: 18.5-24.9 or exactly 22.1 for goal weight

2. Discuss what I am going to do to achieve my goals.

Progress on last week's activities:

1. Time my mile and run it at a pace of 5.2 miles an hour: fail
2. Continue with no soda or beer: fail
3. Go to yoga class: fail
4. Continue with My Fit.ness Pal app: done, at least I could manage that
5. No eating out this week: fail

Activities for this coming week: (the more activities I attempt, the more I am likely to achieve)

1. Time my mile and run it at a pace of 5.2 miles an hour
2. Continue with no soda or beer
3. Go to yoga class-(not this week, class is cancelled)
4. Continue with My Fit.ness Pal app
5. No eating out this week

3. Post a (reasonably healthy) recipe that I've tried, a cooking tip, a new idea for working out for people to try, a photo update of my weight loss, or anything else I feel like sharing.

My organic produce arrived for this week. It has some type of leafy greens in it that I don't recognize, maybe kale??? It also has beets in it.  What the F do you do with beets?

  1. LMAO - okay, I have no idea what to do with beets. Kale, I have a great recipe. Let me know if you want it.

I get why attempting more means possibly achieving more, but for me, it makes me feel so much pressure that I give up and fail harder. Maybe cut back on your number of goals each week....??

  2. Make kale chips... YUM! As for the beets, I haven't done it, but I hear roasted beets are awesome. My mom eats them raw and says they are great that way too.

  4. You can bake them, saute them and lots of other things. I love beets! I don't get them whole very often though. I get the cans. I can just eat them straight out of the can!
Good Luck this week, I know you can do it!

  5. My feeling on slow weight lose is that that it will be easier to keep off because you are making small life changes and not yo yo dieting.

    I love steamed beats!
