Hey guys, I know it's been a while, in fact I think this has been the longest while in between posts since I first started blogging. This post could get a little long, I will try to round it out with some pictures.
Nate and I spent the week before the 4th of July as well as the week of the 4th of July in eastern Pennsylvania for a wedding and to visit family. The wedding was in Lancaster so we hung out with the Amish (not really, we hardly encountered any Amish). We stayed with my 90 year old grandmother and my uncle came up to visit while we were there, a few aunts and their families visited too.

On the TTC front, I'm now on CD 13 of Starting over cycle 1. We're trying to make some dietary changes to further improve our odds of TTC as well as trying to ward off regrowth of endometriosis. We are changing to a wheat free dairy free diet.
Changes I've made so far:
almond milk instead of skim milk
no bread or sourdough instead of wheat bread
changed to dairy free cheese
use silken tofu instead of cream or milk in some recipes
eat out less and choose dairy free/wheat free options when possible
Here are some of the things I've done recently too:
|
Homemade granola, I even dried and chopped my own plums |
|
Fresh zucchini from our garden in our yard |
Here's hoping this is the cycle that succeeds. But I think we will keep trying to abide by these dietary changes either way.
Sounds like you had a really nice trip to eastern Penn. visiting family and attending your friends wedding! :) Looks like you are making some great dietary changes... good for you and best of luck. Oh yay... So glad you decided to try the curry... hope you enjoyed it!!! Sending lots of baby dust your way and fingers crossed for this cycle!
ReplyDeleteWheat free/dairy free. Wow, that's impressive. Not sure I could do it. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally going to try that recipe this week as well. How did you adjust it?
Looks like you had a great trip! I'm impressed with the diet you are doing. Praying this cycle is it for you!
ReplyDeleteDiet changes will make a huge difference. After 2 years of TTC, I conceived naturally after becoming vegan(no meat or animal products). I had been following the vegan diet for 4 months when I conceived. I just went today and saw the little heartbeat of our baby at 6 weeks! I'm so excited!
